- Now go to any bottle exchange like the Home Supply Stores or a Quick Stop's. Take a Look at the bottom of the plastic shrink wrap they put on their bottles and see how much gas weight for that bottle is listed. These exchange bottles are supplied by bulk propane operators who only put 17.5 lb's or even as low as 15 lb's in the bottles and yes they have to I would guess by law list the gas weight in the bottle. Our price runs within cents of the exchange prices but your getting as much 25% more gas from us.
